DREZ: GESTALT CHROMA

GESTALT CHROMA features a new series of works exploring the relationships between a person and the spaces surrounding them. Through sculpture and painting, Drez examines the impact an individual can have on their perceived environment, creating an emphasis on our independent agency and responsibilities as we move through the world.

“It is easy to lose sight of our agency within the urban and natural environment, becoming unaware of how actions may contribute to societal standards, environmental footprints, community relationships and general standards of life. The ability to affect change and create the environment we wish to live in comes from an internal recognition of our abilities to make action. These sculptural works force an interaction of control over one's perceived environment, encouraging introspection in our ability to affect public and private change.”
