“I’ve always been fascinated by my father, who they called the Tjutatjarra man. Tjutatjarra is the name of a sacred tree near his outstation, Ininti. I paint to carry on his culture and his knowledge and to keep the Tjukurrpa of his country alive. A connection to country makes a person feel strong. I want to keep telling the story, just like any artist.”
